The Higher-Order Spectral (HOS) method retains the nonlinear wave-wave interactions that linear (Airy) theory ignores, giving phase-resolved kinematics, crest-trough asymmetry, and amplitude-dependent dispersion – crucial for offshore arrays with shared moorings. With HOS-NWT you can mirror laboratory wave-tank conditions and run a digital twin alongside, or ahead of, physical tests.
