How to add an intermediate clump weight to the mooring line
Quote from Camelia on 5. June 2025, 15:47Dear David,
How can clump weights be added periodically along the mooring line? Additionally, is it possible for the wind turbine model to lock all six degrees of freedom of the platform during simulation?

its possible to add positive (buoyancy) or negative (weight) distributed loads over a certain length of the mooring line, using the MOORLOADS keyword, see: https://docs.qblade.org/src/user/turbine/substructure.html#mooring-element-lineloads
To add a single clump weight you can create an intermediary joint and connect two mooring lines to this joint in the MOORELEMENTS table. The intermediary joint can have a mass assigned using ADDMASS_ or ADDFORCE_, see: https://docs.qblade.org/src/user/turbine/substructure.html#substructure-joints
To “lock” the platform motion you could either constrain the floater to the ground within the SUBCONSTRAINTS table or use the FIXEDFLOATER keyword, see: https://docs.qblade.org/src/user/turbine/substructure.html#miscellaneous-substructure-parameters
