Mismatch between source code and structure file

Dear David

Hello, I found that after I try to compile the source code and import the previous wind turbine structure file, but an error is reported stating that the version of my programme is lower than the corresponding version of the wind turbine structure file. Is there any updated source code available? And how should I adjust the structure file so that it can be adapted to a lower version of the software?

Hello,

we acknowledge that the source code available for download has not been updated for some time. We plan to release an updated version in the near future, though we cannot provide a specific date at this time as we are currently focused on tidying up and restructuring the code.

Regarding the inability to import newer project files into older versions of QBlade: unfortunately, there is no straightforward solution. The newer project files include data that older versions cannot interpret. However, you can try exporting a turbine (.trb) or simulation (.sim) in ASCII format and then importing it into the older version of QBlade.

Once you “fork” a version of QBlade for your own developments, it becomes challenging to merge it with ongoing updates. Since we develop the Enterprise and Community editions in parallel, we currently lack an effective solution to publish the Community branch continuously, without exposing elements of the Enterprise branch – so we only provide periodic updates to the available sourcecode.

BR,

David
