piitch control and pitch blade sensitivity
Quote from tama on 6. March 2025, 04:23I read the NREL document how to control the pitch angle by finding the blade pitch sensitivity (do P/do theta). the data needed is wind speed, rated rpm, pitch angle. in the NREL document the calculation is done with aerodyn and fast. does qblade have a way to do the calculation?

you could obtain this data from a Steady State BEM simulation, by simulating the same rotor with different pitch angles at different operating points.
Alternatively, you can setup your own custom time domain simulation with a Simulation Input File, that prescribes the blade pitch angle over time, and extract this data from the simulation results.
