Qblade not responding
Hi, I’m new to QBlade, and I’ve downloaded and unzipped everything. When running the XFOIL analysis, QBlade becomes unresponsive. Is there a way I can troubleshoot this?

when you say “unresponsive,” do you mean that QBlade is crashing? In some cases, generating the polars and loading the operational point data can take a while. Did you wait long enough to see if the process would complete?

I would assume that QBlade is crashing because if I click anywhere on the QBlade screen, then it starts going “unresponsive”. I will see if I’m just being impatient with generating the polars.

Hi,
when you run the analysis, do you see the XFoil progress bar at all? If not, the issue is likely related to the execution of the XFoil binary itself. If the progress bar does appear, the problem may instead lie in loading the files generated by XFoil.
In either case, I recommend trying to grant full administrative rights to both the QBlade executable and the XFoil binary (located in the /Binaries folder). Both binaries must have permission to read and write files on your system for this process to function correctly.
