RNA Inertia
Quote from IvanRigel on 1. February 2025, 15:11Hi, dear David!
I’m very concerned about the question if there is any way to derive RNA inertia from the QBlade model, to work in other structural/geotechnical software (SAP, Ansys, Plaxis, etc.)….
Maybe you have recommendations for me on this issue? I have seen many publications where the RNA is modeled as a lumped mass, but obviously using just the weight of the RNA on top of the tower would not be correct, and one should also use rotational inertia, but I am having trouble with this issue so far…

in the turbine design module, under the top menu:
Turbine Definition -> Show Structural Model Info
you will find the center of gravity positions and inertia values for all turbine (sub-) components, such as the RNA, tower or platform.
BR,
David
