VAWT with a double profile

Hi, is it possible to somehow import a profile made up of 2 profiles?
Like this one for example, but so that the two profiles are separate and not merged like in the image.

A thousand thanks!

Hi,

you can’t import a multi-element airfoil geometry into QBlade. However, you could try MSES from Mark Drela at MIT who also created XFoil.

Multi-element polars can then be directly imported into QBlade.

David

Thank You very much David!

Could you give me some help on using the MSES.
It seems to me that it is a paid software…..

Hi David.
I know Javafoil….can i obtain the polar from it, then import in QBlade?

Hi,

yes, its possible to import polar data from any other source into QBlade if it is formatted correctly (which is quite straightforward).

Regarding MSES, you could try contacting other users of the code or the devs directly.

David
