as the message suggest the problem is that your VAWT geometry is not properly defined.
When setting the VAWT specific geometry parameters you need to make sure that the blades (or struts) can be connected to the torquetube, e.g. the torquetube needs to extended to a height position that the blades or strut connections can be realized, see the image below:
